Exactly...If you take Fatawa as an example!!

Why are we not finding these signings, before a tin pot club like Leicester???

It's really frustrating, that our scouts, can't seem to do, what other mid table, or championship clubs do, & do it at ease!!

Then we & other premier league clubs are paying extortionate amounts of money to aquire these players!

...Here's a thought, poach the recruitment guy's from the championship, who are identifying these guys for cheap prices & see how we do?🤷‍♂️

Do this & our normal strategy & we're fighting on two fronts 🤷‍♂️?
Agreed. Although i think its a mentality at the club that always wants experience in a big league first in any signing we make and is rarely willing to gamble. I am sure we scout alot of good players but the button is rarely pushed on any player that hasn't already played in a big league. Nuamah is an example scouted heavily in January and Moyes didn't want to push the button apparently...He has a injury now but we scouted a winger with pace and potential there..We are always going to pay through the nose following this line..

We’ve tried that before when we poached Steve Walsh from Leicester as our DOF. The supposed architect of the squad that won the league title in 2016; he unearthed Kante and Mahrez for Leicester but didn’t achieve nearly the same results here.

Have faith brother … like Fonzy said … Be cool 👍

Its because Bill Kenwright was in charge. It seems we quickly forget. This club for a very long time was run by Kenwrights iron fist. What he said happened, and he no doubt overruled many scouts and managers. You cant judge anything about the current front office based on the behavior of one man, Kenwright. This window WOULD have been the very first chance to do that, but of course we have to build an actual squad to even compete first, due to the shape he left us in.

Exactly, and all this stuff takes a long time for the results to show. We have had decades of absolute incompetent ownership. This is the first time in ages that we have proper sensible people in charge. They will need alot of time for us to see work in the youth and talent department filter through but I see already they are buying up a few very young talents for the future.

He was terrible injury or not
No , he wasn’t .
He was a good player, which is why we bought him.
It’s a totally false narrative that he was a bad player before his injury , which can be easily disproved by a cursory examination of his record and performances before we signed him.

Still think we should assume this won't get done and ensure we get an alternative signed.

It would be beyond negligent to end up with nobody there.

Whatever they're being told by Soton, the best strategy is to actively pursue another target.
