2025/26 Beto

Manager of the month 26 times.
Won us sod all though .....Irvine had the team playing great stuff with him for a period - did nothing at United after leaving us pre arranged behind our backs with Fergie - sacked a few times else where , did a great job saving us last season though ... but the new owners will be hard on him if he gets the funds & we are low in the Prem as they are ruthless... won a trophy at West Ham abiet a micky mouse one - but fair do's -

If he thinks Beto is no good that's his decision & he will be judged by it in the future if he sells him ....?

Mate I’m not against the lad I love his effort and he looked significantly better after Moyes arrival .

I have concerns how good he is mind however my point was my reading of Moyes , doesn’t make me right in fact I’m almost certainly wrong .
No worries. I don't see where you're getting it from, but you never know. He seemed to like Jack Harrison, but I choose to think he was being polite, so what do I know?

What a load of old cobblers. There, there's the attention you wanted.
I absolutely don’t want any attention , well no more than anybody else posting their opinions on a forum .

I have a view , it might be right or wrong but Christ given some of the stuff I’ve read on here it feels bizarre this is the one you’ve decided to open up with both barrels on .

After the Ipswich game my view was Moyes was visibly annoyed/upset with the fact that Beto’s mistake that lead to their goal . I actually thought Beto might not feature much , he did and did well . Don’t ask me the exact quotes but I felt Moyes was making noises about wanting more from his strikers when we were over in the US .

I formed an opinion that perhaps Moyes wasn’t over enamoured with Beto . I don’t think I’m the only one to form that opinion but just like you I have no idea if it’s true or not . You disagree , magnificent we may find out swiftly or never know which if either is true . However I’ll be quite happy if it’s you .

I like Beto , I think he’s lacking a bit but I love his attitude and his reaction to scoring on occasion was enough to move anyone . I’ve found him frustrating but their is no doubt Moyes utilised him significantly better than our previous incumbent.

Long story short , I posted my opinion . You disagree .

If I was being a knobhead I’d said here’s the attention your post craved . However hopefully my reply gives you a better opinion of my post , if it doesn’t then I doubt either of our lives will be significantly affected .

Here’s to Beto opening his scoring on Monday

You didn’t imagine it. He bizarrely singled him out when there had been far worse and more lethargic performers. Maybe something in training.

He said with a crinkled brow to give a look of disdain, “I've been a bit disappointed from Beto. I've told him we're needing a bit more. He can do more and he has done more. We’re hoping we can get more from him.”

Perfectly legit comment, but I thought it a little weird to single out one player in a pre match interview with the broadcaster. Not even sure the question warranted it.

Appreciate that fella , thought i must have imagined it given the response

Get Grealish playing the number 10 role and it’s Beto hands down.
I hope so. Best thing we did for Beto last year was pretend he was just a very strong 5ft 9 striker and half decent finisher, instead of seeing he was tall and just rocketing balls at his face and standing to watch to see if he can do anything with it all on his own.

He isn’t always where you’d want him when balls are played around the box, but you’d hope we have a couple more players who can slide him in now. Whatever his faults, I think you can class him as “proven” as a good PL finisher when 1v1.
