Getting Older.....Mens edition

and.........

Potential Negative Effects:
  • Memory and Cognitive Function:
Some studies have reported a link between statin use and cognitive decline, including memory loss and impaired cognitive function. However, these findings are not consistent, with some studies showing no significant impact or even improvements in cognitive function.

  • Increased Dementia Risk:
Some research has suggested a potential link between statin use and an increased risk of developing dementia, particularly Alzheimer's disease. However, other studies have found no association between statins and dementia risk.

  • Specific Populations:
Some research indicates that individuals with pre-existing conditions like diabetes or those taking multiple medications may be more susceptible to statin-related cognitive side effects.

  • Lipophilicity:
Some studies suggest that lipophilic statins (those that more easily enter the brain due to their fat solubility) may be more likely to affect cognitive function. Examples of lipophilic statins include atorvastatin and simvastatin.
Are these for us all to tick off?

57. Health- aches and pains, but can’t complain, some are in a lot worse nick than me. Cant get in or out of a car without making some sort of noise. Eyes just deteriorated at 50. Went from not needing glasses to needing them for everything, i reckon a year for all this. Biggest thing from 55 I notice is tiredness or general energy levels have dropped off a cliff. I try my best to eat well and stay in reasonable shape. Stopped watching the news around covid time, some may say this ignorant to what’s going on but i just find it all too depressing. Would rather not know.
57. Gone from avid current affairs interest to now really not bothering. I love reading history and have come to realised that what is going on today, no matter how bad we think it is,its just a case of history repeating. The world will adapt, survive and move on and we are just fleeting.
I'm now at the just enjoy phase of life.
Being born is a terminal event. Accept it and make the most of what you have.

Use an ice pack on affected areas for 20 minutes every 4 hours buy the sports ones off e bay - see if that helps avoid hot ointments...!
Did the lot from Sunday Joey. Hot baths, deep heat, ice packs, rested up and elevated, painkillers, anti-inflammatorys etc. And feel much better now.

But the ongoing issue needs looked at as it has went from something that caused a bit of discomfort to, at times, causing real pain.

Sick of getting told off at home and in work by people who can see the discomfort i'm in so time to get it sorted and find out whats going on.

Getting it pummled by a physio wont be the answer - get a cat scan or ultra sound X ray first via your GP

60, stopped drinking and started eating properly, had hair transplant, Turkey teeth, fillers, prostate shaved and was slightly overweight but lost 1.5 stone over the last 2 months.
Looking 50 outside, feeling 70 inside and now attracted to cruises as opposed to Ayia Napa.
The only thing I have got to look forward to is my reduced rates for Season ticket and a six monthly prostate check.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I turned 50 earlier this year...

Pros: I lived through the 80s 😁💙
Cons: Bad knees, bad back, memory loss, lack of energy, can't get up off the floor, pee too regular, hair loss, weight gain, hernias, bad eye sight, can't look at fit birds in their 20s the way I used to, birds in their 20s don't look at me the way they used to.

64 pretty decent health except for prostrate problem nothing major.
Noticed the last few years my strength is going its frustrating
But i suppose expected.
On a plus piont far more relaxed and very rarely lose my temper, don't get many black moods these days,
Really don't let anything get into my head that causes me any aggravation, politics , heavy maintenance people ect
all can get in the bin.
Stopped being obsessed over stuff that got in my head.
i am finally content but can't wait to retire.
Wish I had my mind when I was younger.

Does anyone know how to stop your balls sticking to your leg when you’re just relaxing in your dressing gown after a shower. I know a pair of undercrackers would do the job but I’m in my own house so it’s my rules and I always go commando

Old man’s balls mate, the only thing you can do, is strap them in with a hair net.
