The worry is were now relying on Tarkwoski to be 100% otherwise were in serious trouble

4th choice Keane, back to being a start as usual

Id love to say you cant make this stuff up but it happens every bloody season

Lampard had him as 6th choice centre back and within one game he was back to starting matches. Could make him 10th choice, wouldn’t make a difference, like a weed you can never kill off he just finds his way back in.

New era? New nothing until Michael Keane isn’t starting premier league games for us any more. Christ alive the bloke ducks under crosses, runs to the front post when it’s going to the back, jumps with his eyes closed, and couldn’t trap a bag of cement.

We should have bought an actual centre back who isn’t a walking relegation machine.

It’s more annoying though that once again we’re starting a season without Branthwaite fit. We won’t get off to a good start because once again Everton football club cannot keep its best players fit.

I give Grealish about 20 mins of the best cameo you’ve ever seen before he does his as well. Then Ndiaye will drop just before the derby and we’ll be playing them with McNeil and Alcaraz on the wings and Keane and Coleman at the back.
Again though - I'm really not sure what the answer is?

You can claim it's something that the club do with the players' conditioning but I'm willing to bet that it really isn't as simple as that. Branthwaite seems to have struggled with his hammy quite a bit for a lad his age.. so to me it seems more of a him thing. Ditto Mykolenko.

The timing of these will always be unlucky, as it often is at other clubs as well. Retaining Keane was sensible from the club, no matter what you personally think of him.

Sell Keane, get a centre back in that doesn’t make you want to gouge your eyes out every time he goes on the field.

That’s the answer.

Or buy a right back so OBrien could play in the middle.

Every year though the absolute perfect storm happens so this balloon starts games.

2025 and Michael Keane Idrissa Gueye and possibly Seamus Coleman are starting for Everton. Just change the damn record.

Hang on, you're including our player of the season here.. why?

I wonder if anyone's ever actually crunched the numbers on this, but it certainly feels like an inordinate % of our injuries happen in training vs. in actual matches.
Na don't think it is yeno. Vast majority of our injuries will happen on the pitch during matchdays..
