By age 19, Jack Grealish had 37 PL appearances. 1 goal, 1 assist.
I mean, you're using stats from right up to the day before his 20th birthday there, which Dibling is 6 months away from being able to replicate.

Let's be fair - Dibling is currently 19 years, 5 months and 26 days old. He has, currently, played 1874 Premier league minutes, scored two PL goals and has one PL assist to his name.

At exactly the same age, Jack Grealish had played 247 minutes in the Premier League and had yet to register a single goal or assist, in fact he had yet to even start a single Premier League game.

There is indeed a gap between the level of the two of them at their respective ages, but it's not what @Milkman is suggesting.

Yeah, I get the Grealish comparison, but Grealish at 19 was on another planet to Dibling.

To me, he's just been massively overhyped by pundits to condescend to Southampton fans for the awful season they were having.

Grealish at 19 was playing on loan for notts county who were battling to stay in the football league that season.

At 19 mate, Grealish had played less than half the Premier League minutes that Dibling has, hadn't scored a PL goal and had one assist to his name.
In context, in the past 6 seasons only Saka and Greenwood out of all attacking players under 20 has played as many minutes in a season, only those three registered over half a season of minutes.

Kinda does mark him out as very very unusual

Sounds like Soton want it done today either today or never so we can both move on
agreed, soton need time to do things as well, so if we don't get him now, this might be a winter window thing (or as you said, never).

if we say no, we better have a good backup RW option lined up
