Dominic Calvert-Lewin watch

Objectively, his recent(ish) record doesn’t warrant £90k per week, and that’s partly why he’s walked away from us - we didn’t offer that.

I’d honestly say he’s closer to the £60k a week bracket, and that’s what the continent will be offering. He need to be realistic!

If he goes abroad then I would agree around 60-70k is the top end he could expect. He may be able to bump that up with a signing on fee and/or a possible sell on bonus, if club sell him for x amount of money though.

Or admit defeat and head over to Saudi.

He was a real handful when fully fit. But he always needed 3/4 games to get fit, play 1 or 2 decent matches, then injured again. I like him but you simply can't rely on him. Can't see anyone paying £140k for that. Unless pay as you play. Literally 3/4 decent games a season.

It worked for Doucouré. He's not longer out of contract.

Make of this what you will.
Saudi suits Doucouré because his family live in the region, he follows the Islamic faith and, importantly, the final pay check is his priority.

Being at the twilight of his career, two seasons out there will ensure him and his family’s finances will be sustained for a lifetime.

I don’t think Dom would adjust to the Saudi lifestyle, nor would his wife, and he should be looking to give his career a vital boost.

If all he cares about is the money, his career will die quite quickly.

Well thats a massive climb down....
Surely the mighty Leeds and favourites for the drop can't have been the move he imagined eas best for his family interests...

Sure the Sheffield utd fans will be happy with this
