Yeah but he's still not good is he.

Like he's ok, but he's not good
I just feel there's a lack of perspective on him because he's not quick and was miscast as a wide left player. To read most of the stuff here, you'd think he could barely put one foot in front of the other. Set up two of our better chances against Roma as well (Alcaraz header, Ndiaye strike from the left side after the switch). He's becoming a productive player.

For a time under Dyche he was by far our best attacking player.

I've always thought he's technically astute. Can strike a ball well.

Is quite laboured in his movements though

Where do you think his best position should be? CM?

Any of the three attacking midfield positions, provided he has a FB to overlap and give width. He’s miscast as a true wide player, he’s an inside or inside channel player.

He’s not going to get much time on the left, and if Grealish is fully fit he won’t get time in the middle (whether it’s Grealish or Ndiaye moves inside). As of writing this, he’s the best option on the right.

To the tune of Scarborough Fair

On a related note, who we most closely likening KDH to in recentish times?

Not sure we've had a player recently like KDH, That's the best part, Him, Grielish and hopefully Dibling, None of us know exactly how we're going to play. For the first time in a long time we have unknowns, Unknown how we're lining up, Unknown system (not players obvs)
.... Dead exciting !!

Which also means the opposition don’t have a clue either. At least for a short while

Tbh I quite like the idea of him coming inside towards goal with that left foot....

Remember him scoring a screamer against us doing just that
