Transfer Rumour Tyler Dibling

This saga is so boring
How far from twilight are we?

southampton are trying to save face, they can't flog all their players having decided to be so bad last year to try and build something up from here. It defeats the purpose of being so bad in the league to prepare to drop and boss the championship and be stronger for the PL next season.

I wish I was wrong , but I don't see Southampton budging at all.
I dont believe there is any mysterious 2nd offer or a game being played out in the media either.

I've said it before look at the Romeo Lavia transfer ( £53 mil fir a raw 19 yr old ) and not so long ago the Van Diyk transfer. You can negotiate all you want but they set the figure ( as we do Stones, Lukaku even Gordon & Onana ) We'll do the same with Branthwaite in the future . If you don't match the valuation walk away.

As I said I wish I was wrong because I really do like the lad and think he'd do very well for us.

I've also said we will break our transfer record sometime( stood for 8 years and counting ) i believe the club would have to do that to get this lad.

Yeah defo agree with this, really thought it would just be a few days of negotiating.

They've set their price, we won't match it - time to move on. (perhaps we already have)

True fact remains we should have secured a right winger months if not years ago, baffles me really I get we have had financial constraints also get we don't have Europe. But there must be a good right winger out there with pace we could get just seems like de ja vu every summer I think its partly because we want players who have done it or played in the PL in that case you will always have to pay through the nose. Go and get Bakwa? No they would rather wait until he has played in the PL..

this summer regardless has been the best window in ages

Makes them look dead strong in negotiations that

"Hi Everton, we've not heard from you in a few days. As we said, we don't want to sell the player, but if we did this is the exact amount"

Aren't they suppose to have already done that with us though, that's where thd up to 50m and 25% sell on rumours come from.

As far away as Dibling seems, with the little info out there, it still seems to be the most likely of the linked players. Weekend gone I was thinking probably 70% chance this gets done. More thinking 60:40 in Southampton's favour that it doesn't right now. However, suppose we will see what the supposed final offering from Southampton will be tomorrow.
