If Beto had a golden patch then that's exactly what Dom's rare flashes of goalscoring were also. He never consistently stayed fit and hit double figures outside of 18 months with Ancelotti.

Face it, Beto played better so we kept him and showed Dom the door. If it was as massive a mistake as some of you believe well we can make him a lovely panic offer if he's still available to sign in October, which the way things have gone for him appears to be the case.

It’s not about biting. The question is simple. Would you prefer DCL, Beto & Barry as a front 3 option for one position or Beto, Barry & Chermiti (although talks about a loan for him persist either way)

Obviously it’s one of those “time will tell” questions, if Barry and Beto score enough goals and stay fit I’ll look stupid for asking, but if they don’t, I won’t.

I don’t want to sign him , I think he’s decent at best , he’s had awful issues with injuries , he definitely misses chances but last couple of years under Dyche it was a thankless task leading the line for us .

Isak would have done well to get double figures

I don't think time will tell at all. I think Chermiti is crap and hasn't done anything to impress me in his time here tbh.

I'd take Dom over Chermiti to polish boots and put the cones out.
 
Expect he'll get what he wants in the end. If he's representing himself nowadays that's a saving of 10% that he won't need to hit his target. A £5m signing on fee with around 90k a week doesn't sound implausible.
 
What is a fair weekly wage for Calvert-Lewin? I struggle to see any club paying more than what he was reportedly on with us (£120k/week) and I reckon his bottom-line should be around £90k/week. Maybe someone will get desperate and meet his demands, whatever they are. I think he may have to take a pay cut.

Objectively, his recent(ish) record doesn’t warrant £90k per week, and that’s partly why he’s walked away from us - we didn’t offer that.

I’d honestly say he’s closer to the £60k a week bracket, and that’s what the continent will be offering. He need to be realistic!
