One thing that is undeniable about Jack is that he’s an absolutely fantastic human being, way before any link to Everton, whenever scrolling through Facebook reels (or equivalent) the amount of videos I’ve seen of him treating people from all walks of life with respect and humanity is truly heart warming. His relationship with his disabled sister is truly wonderful. He seems like such a good and kind human being, no matter the wealth or reputation.
The media seem to have it in for him a little bit, but he just seems a class act on and off the pitch, from his come out performance (against Liverpool for a poor Villa side) where he ran the show as a kid in a cup game, to sticking with Villa through relegation and their resurgence, going to city and probably having to adapt his game, but is still highly thought of by city fans despite for large periods them not seeing the real Grealish. Also, his reaction when that lunatic attacked him from behind in the Villa Birmingham game where he carried on playing and possibly, if memory serves, went on to score the winning goal.
We as Everton fans have seen loads of garbage since Moyes left last time, and often questioned how arsed the players were, this lad seems to of had a massive influence on getting this deal done add that to his talent and what I’ve mentioned above about is humanity, it’s a great signing.
Also low risk, the whole deal may end up costing 18m for a season and when you consider almost a decade ago we paid £13.5m for Oumar Niasse (plus wages) then even if he’s bang average, he goes back to city and we move on.
It’s also nowhere near the same as Deli Alli, he’d lost his way for 2-3 years before joining, was even highlighted on the the Spurs documentary that he’d dropped off to a point fo no return. He was one of Lampard’s many many mistakes.
