Confirmed Signing Jack Grealish

Not sure what 'impact' any official announcement can have. The world and his wife already know the deals done.

The most important things for comms professionals is knowing their audiences. You would have they would have gathered by now we're just happy to have confirmation he has signed (yes a photo proving it is nice!) and don't need some fancy video. I think it must have become a bit of an internal thing between clubs as to who is most creative and makes the best.
They do know their audience, and 'we' aren't it. The announcements - fairly obviously - aren't designed for people who spend hours on a forum every day talking about transfers and rumours and follow loads of related accounts to keep abreast of what's happening at any given moment. They're designed to maximise engagement with more casual fans and people who may not otherwise have any interest. It can be like an echo chamber on here leading people to think that everybody knows all the things they know, but only a very small percentage of the fanbase are as invested in things as the people who are posting a lot in here, many of them will get their Everton news from conventional news outlets.

Thanks for confirming that we are all indeed, sad, miserable bastards.

Others might know the answer but can the £50m option be used by city to assist with any psr problems they think that they may encounter by including this number in the books for accounting purposes? Just wondering are we doing them a favour after they scratched our back on the overall cost of grealish (assuming they have)?
