New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Yes, I agree.

A lot of other clubs have their safe-standing rails painted to match the colour of the seats and it looks so much better. At Everton, the rails look unfinished and like scaffolding poles. They would look so much better painted blue.

Here is Spurs safe-standing area. Much more classy I think.

That looks great. All our grey concrete needs painting blue, as do the standing rails.

Having seen some really nice photos I think the club needs to work with the council and do something with that bridge (apologies there's probably an better accurate description of what it actually is) as it could be a really iconic landmark in the wider stadium footprint but it's looking a bit tatty.

I'm not suggesting paint it bright blue, think it needs to be sympathetically done but some tasteful way of restoring and Evertonizing it a bit and using it to mark that route that your entering our territory.

Similar to St Luke's at GP it could be incorporated into a future kit designs/club promos etc

It could be made to be iconic and reflect the dock history and culture of the team

Know exactly where you’re coming from. Contrast that to the “limbs” we saw when Tarky rattled in that equaliser at Goodison. The whole Gwladys seemed to be moving and all you could see were people, and none of the actual stand. You’re not going to get that here I don’t think. People look to be more distanced apart which gives it an “empty” look and far too much of the stands/concrete is visible. I guess that’s why the stadium on the whole looks so big compared to Goodison? There’s only a little over 10k difference, but the new place seems twice as big!

The pitch looks absolutely massive as well btw. Are there any exact pitch measurements anywhere to compare with other stadiums?
Aren't people more distanced because in the future they're hoping legislation comes in to eventually be a ratio of fans to 'seats' standing at 3:1 to increase the capacity of the South Stand lower?

Not sure who folks want to replace him with, mind

That Reform ale house he films is going down fighting.

The report yesterday was that the council have refused a license for 'The Brady' "at this time".

FFS, they must know the club are trying to eliminate revenue being taken away from them after spending £800M on a stadium. Just tell them they're not wanted and tell them they're a danger to fans' access/egress to the stadium and have done with it.

I used to like his videos initially but he's turned out to be a bit of a free loader.

Shouldn't be giving that dump any publicity.

Was looking at the digital advertising banner opposite over on the West Stand which wraps around along the North Stand and I presume the East Stand too. Now that would look amazing with a static Archibald Leitch Criss-Cross replicating the old Goodison Main Stand. This would instantly raise the Everton identity inside the ground.
When we score this should be displayed. It's iconic as a background for nearly every single one of our greats.

Must admit I kind of miss the flags along the top. I never liked the ‘Goodison’ letters though. Everyone knew what it was called without them.
They'll have to display them from the roof for Euro 2028 so if the ability isn't there now then they're gonna have to construct one.

Looking at the price and quality of the ale on offer, (that's proper beer, not fizzy lager), I'd guess the pubs around Moorfields will be heaving.
I noticed quite a few in The Ship who were trying it out for the first time. Hopefully The Excelsior etc do well out of the move.

How does it feel when you're sitting in terms of the steepness? Watching the game on Saturday and some of the angles made it look incredibly steep.
Pretty funny people saying it was so steep, coming from the Top Balc (and without the jeopardy of a 30m drop) it's absolutely fine. It was odd being part of a collective bowl though, will take some time that to get the dynamic right.

Regarding the services/decor/finishing/amenities, Dan Meis did say on day 1 that it would be more basic and without the frills. I guess some of the gripes illustrate what he meant.
Yeah and I like that personally, you're there for the match and the ground feels functional for that event. It'll obviously be personalised in the next few years as people get used to their surroundings.

From the net......
Goodison is 100.48x68 metres.
BMD (if standard FIFA size) is 105x68 metres.

Is the bridge a listed building?
