NUFC aka The Horse Punchers

If things do now go belly-up for Eddie Howe, we should be keeping our options open there for when the Moyesiah gets the bullet after the inevitable slow start or he has enough of being left down by the recruitment team - whichever comes first.
If he brings that bell of an assistant with him, it's a no from me, I'm out.

Ornstein tweeting Isak is saying he’s not interested in appearing for NUFC again even if he’s not transferred this window and his career with them is over 🤣
Shame they will get so much money for him, otherwise it’s magnificent.

Why does he want out so desperately?
Apart from the whole “Newcastle” thing.

They’re seemingly one of the richest clubs in the world. Have champions league football next season.
Have a decent squad of players.

Has something happened, or is he just angling for a mega contract?

In reality, you’d suspect it’s one or a combination of those factors, but on our behalf it’s all conjecture. Nevertheless, it’s odd!

If they both stick to their guns and he isn’t sold, can he really not play for them again? He’d be liable to hefty fines as a bare minimum.

Is he the type of character Liverpool really want: a person who has twice now refused to play for a club and forced a move?

There were reports that his wife / partner is a keen participant of dressage and her horses have felt very threatened in the north east.

Nah a deal will be done. Probably move quite quickly once newcastle bring in a replacement. Be funny if liverpool dropped their interest though.

Isak coming across as a right prima donna here, isn't he? Apparently 'refuses' to ever play for Newcastle again..

Does that mean that he just goes on strike and the club are within their rights to sever his pay? I'd just do that if were them ha.
Aye, makes him seem like a right bell imo. I reckon it’ll cool Liverpools interest as well. When you’re in their position and can have anyone you want, why’d you want the bloke who chucks his toys out like this.

My guess is he ends up staying, and retracting his transfer request. And goes to Saudi or someone next summer.

Eddie Howe must surely look at the shambles behind the scenes this summer and be waiting to jump at another “big club”, in Europe or here. Great manager who is consistently outperforming with his squads

I really hope Newcastle stick to their guns and refuse to let him leave. Think Liverpool have played dirty and expected Isak's camp to kick up enough fuss that Newcastle have to sell less than they value. It might be completely detrimental to them but good on them for making a stand.

Simple for Newcastle, stick with their valuation £150m not a penny less. Issac fine go on strike, fine him his wages each week he refuses to play and let's see how long his little charade lasts.

Liverpool have probably encouraged him to act this way.

All part of the game.

Aye, and the Liverpool fans were moaning on when Trent did it to them. And the Mags are encouraging Wissa to do the same at Brentford while losing it over Isak. And no doubt our fans will be encouraging some player to do it to sign for us in the future (and moaning like mad if someone did it to us). As you say, all part of the game innit.
