Confirmed Signing Jack Grealish

I’m excited to see him play, certainly has quality. But I question whether this was the best use of resources. He doesn’t have the pace for a counter attacking team and where does he fit in? On the left? As a 10? Age 30 next month, his best years at Villa far behind him. Thankfully no obligation to buy. I loved the KDH signing but the Grealish loan seems more like the old Everton not a path forward. Is a one year and done loan going to entice good young players to sign? The wages alone could have been allocated to a RW. Trusting Moyes can get the best out of him but does not advance our long term objectives in my opinion.
He can play both but I think he might be better at 10.
Until we get a decent right winger in, he could play on the left with Alcaraz at 10 and Ndiaye on the right.
Great signing.

Not sure about this signing. Struggling to see him sprint up and down the flanks for 90mins. He might not even last 50mins of high intensity football in a position that requires to run most under Moyes system.

Yeah soooooo much worse than Harrison who could run 90 mins but had the grand sum of [Poor language removed] all to offer, cancel the loan now !!

….Moyes is giving the green light to buy him. I doubt Moyes would be investing in the player if he isn’t what he wanted. Moyes will have a role in mind for him.

It’s a bit like all the posters who suggested Harrison would return without realising it was Moyes who released him.
