2024/25 David Moyes

Maybe he can also sell a vision to Pickford: of playing football out from the back to work the ball up to such talented players.

Signing players like those is useless if you have some divvy belting the ball 60 yards downfield and/or out of play.
Nope. The era of pitter-patter ball is over. Breaking direct with purpose is in the ascendancy. (In my opinion.)

That doesn't mean we should be playing 19th century football in a 21st century stadium.
It doesn't matter how Moyes sets us up to play, or which players he signs. You'll just continue to moan.

You have no consistency in your opinions and exist only to piddle on people's chips (metaphorically). Genuinely feel sorry for you if this is what you're like in real life. Go for a walk outside, talk to people, try to enjoy what time you have left on Earth.

There is now pressure on the manager to deliver.

He'll get a further few players after Grealish and that'll give him a very strong squad to work with.

At the end of the window we should have one of the strongest squads outside of Liverpool, United, City, Chelsea, Arsenal. We might be on par with Newcastle and Spurs, which would be great.

But he'll have to deliver or he'll be out.

Top 4.

Next season will be the first time in a decade that I will have more than a passing interest in the Champions League.

Obviously can sell his vision to Grealish Barry Dewsbury Hall. I think the pressure from the Friedkins is a good thing. Moyes isn’t accepting second rate bodies through the door to make up the numbers and he knows he has to perform to keep his job. We could see the best version of Moyes in this coming season. If we finish off a few more transfers he’ll have the squad he wants, the spectre of relegation removed, a clean state to start, a chance to show everyone how good a manager he is
Blob on. Expecting good things from Moyes this season, otherwise he'll have failed and the owners will be well aware in that event..

The Circle is now complete.

Another manager with his hands tied behind his back because the player conditioning/medical team at Everton can’t keep anyone fit for any stretch of time.
All teams have injuries....problem is our squad is paper thin and they knew it going into the window. For me it's on the recruitment team and moyes...

Who are Liverpool missing for their season opener through injury?

They’ll roll out their best 11 they’ve been playing all pre season in the formation they’ve practised every game.

We’ll be playing a back 5 with Coleman and Keane playing and no CB or left back cover on the bench.

Coleman will not start...and if he does, you know that before 30 minutes, he will have to come off injured to not be seen again for a few months. Liverpool have been very lucky last season and this pre season on the injury front...but of course have sadly lost a big player for them in jota. Chelsea have lost a cb with a big injury...other teams also have injuries...for the next game, we could have only 2 missing because of injuries...problem is the squad size and depth...

We don’t have two missing, we actually have three with Patterson also out.

So if we play a back 5 then Coleman is the only right back at the club available. If Aznou plays on the other flank then we won’t have a single fit defender available for the bench.

It’s not good enough. If the club knows it has such a consistent problem with injuries then it needs to have a deeper squad. Instead we run the thinnest squads possible whilst also incurring the most injuries.

If Ndiaye goes down tomorrow, we’ll be starting v Leeds with McNeil and Alcaraz on the flanks and no option on the bench for any of the three positions behind the striker, that’s assuming Grealish is fit to play 90 minutes as well which he probably isn’t.
