New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Have a go at me all you like mate and who ever else has responded to my post... I am not going to comment further as I know 0 about the conflict and would rather stay as far away from it as possible.

For me... if it is political / divisive and doesn't involve Everton or impact any of the players / club then it should not be allowed inside the stadium.
Makes sense.

We were lucky to be invited as guests to the Dock on 1 - Merchants restaurant in the West Stand on Saturday. Just in case anyone is looking at it as an option in the future, my thoughts were:

1. A really slick looking restaurant. Swanky hotel type design.
2. Really free-flowing booze - It never felt like anyone was limiting drinks or being tight. Decent selection of drinks but no spirits.
3. The food portions were really poor. You get 4 x mini tapas style plates to share between 2 x people and then 1 x ‘sharer’ main plate that was tiny. They are going to have to sort that out as you could hear that a load of people weren’t happy/ felt mis-sold on the meal package (which sounded expensive…)
4. Really friendly staff and about a million of them in the room.
5. Teething issues around eg. Missed meals and spilt drinks but nothing massive.

The seats in that area of the stand for the match are insane! Unbelievable views and a truly world class stadium. The Amphitheatre of the North 👍

I appreciate you’re likely not going to respond here but if you know 0 about the conflict then how on Earth are you in a position to comment on whether or not she should have been made to cover up.

Perhaps invest even 10 minutes into learning about humanitarian crisis before choosing to comment. And for what it’s worth I wear a Palestine flag badge on my jacket and will continue to do so whether I’m at the match or in the pub, which is in no way breaking any rules or laws.

Totally off topic here so if you want to continue this please PM me and I’ll be happy to share with you what’s actually happening in Gaza and why it’s important for us all, as humans, to be concerned.
I cannot comment on the conflict as I know 0 about it, and to be honest I do not really want to know about it. I stay as far away from political tensions / topics etc etc as much as I can and would rather stay that way!

My opinion which i do have the right to comment on and can do so, is this should also be the case for Everton as it has 0 to do with them also.

To bring up things like Poppies, taking the knee etc then does or has had a direct impact on Everton as a football club and the country we participate in. This to me is very much acceptable.

However, I appreciate the offer to be informed / educated, but not something I will take you up on if you don't mind, for reasons stated above.

PS. I didn’t like the Red Budweiser screens blinding us the whole time (that has to be blue….) and when lit up, it makes that painted blue wall at the other end look like it was missed.

Needs flags…. Everywhere!

Cheers for acknowledging that you're actually just totally ignorant. Now I suggest you actually go and read something about it, and you'll feel much less indifferent towards the situation in future.

British taxes literally go towards aiding Israel in killing thousands of Palestinian children. Interesting that you find it doesn’t concern you.

Is the Western Terrace going to be open on match days?

Good question, wondered the same, we got there early with the intention of walking round the whole footprint, squeezed round the side of the North Stand (Are there really no entrances to that stand from the north?) but were blocked from getting out in front of the West / Main Stand. Could only get under the stand half way up to the players entrance, timed it just as Roma were arriving. Thinking about it now, it might have opened up after the players buses left.

That and close to 500 British people from all walks of life, political persuasion, profession and education were arrested this weekend alone from peacefully protesting a genocide. That should concern us all, there is no neutral stance here. Staying silent only allows it to continue.
