Confirmed Signing Jack Grealish

My sentiments exactly. He's obviously a really good player and if he as at the same level he was before he joined City he will improve us a lot. But he isn't a difference maker. He's never been Hazard, J.Rod etc level even at his best. He was a role player at City. Never a key player.
Maybe it’s semantics, but while he’s not a world class player like the above, someone who has 15 goal contributions and it’s fouled 100-150 times a season would make a huge difference for us

When was he special though? He was very good at Villa but it's a massive stretch to say he was special. Stats wise he's pretty similar to someone like Arteta. I loved Arteta. Great player to watch etc. but he was no Beardsley or Kanchelskis or James. He was at least 1 maybe 2 tiers down. i'm just not convinced he's worth the money or the risk. He could easily be another Gazza/Ginola type signing (although at their best they were much better players than him too).
Mate City went out and spent a hundred million on him, yes he was special..

Even on your worst shout you say he is similar to Arteta, so you mean the best cm we e had in ten years, ok that'll do nicely you blert

Now double those figures to reflect more minutes

The incremental stuff is mostly my concern with these types of deals. Unless you convince the player to stay it is a step forward and a step back.

Does Grealish make us better? Probably? I really have concerns that he is either taking Ndiaye off the field or a bad fit playing alongside him.

So idk, I guess I mostly agree, but I do think we're doing the usual anything is better than what we've got type of thinking and that actually doesn't have to be true. There are still ways to replace the crap and do it wrong.
He play in the 10 swapping with Ndiaye, he also stop the doubling up on Ndiaye as you need to double up on Grealish, he also a ball carrier and can control a ball, along with KDH, Ndiaye, (hopefully)Dibling and Charlie and Aznou can. Something we have been lacking

You don't have to double both of them when only one can get the ball in the area that you would double them!

Loads of videos if him being a good person, seems very grounded and from a good family.
Early 20's high profile footballer , unattached, likes a beer and partying .
Wouldn't we all be the same .

He's now a well grounded family man with good ethics and very good at being a boss footballer.

Great signing this will be , I think he'll have a huge impact on this team.

If we get him and he’s on it then it’ll be a joy, a release for him and us. He’ll be free of the shackles of peps mathematical, micro managed set patterns and back to being a maverick. For us it’s almost incalculable, from doucs and his ilk, footballing Jack Russell terriers in the sense that you think they chase the ball because they love it, but they really want to burst it, no joy, no creativity. I want joy in Everton shirts

Likes a beer when he's got a few off or on his Summer Holidays but gets painted as a party boy.

I don't watch much of other teams but even when Pep was jibbing him off at City he still looked like England's most creative player when he came on as a sub. I like him.

Yes but how many of them come the end of the season will we be like wow what a signing?
I was responding to the point he made that we didn’t know player availability in Jan. Sunderland didn’t even know they were in the league till the end of May. Irrespective of their ability they have 10 in. We should have identified those players in jan and immediately the window opened prior to the World Club Championship we should have made our move. Of course we wouldn’t have got all these players in, but we should have got at least a couple more in as well as Charley in that period.

Gaza yes all day, Ginola hmmm great on his day, but if I had the choice it would be Grealish over him. It's where we are mate, really good young players have been turning us down, but we have to try to get better. Grealish is probably the best we could get, for what we could afford and for what we could attract, he would still get bums off seats similar to what N'diaye does and would instantly give the likes of N'diaye more space to play in. I'm like a broken record here I know, but Grealish and a fast, skilfull right winger and we could get Europe. That's my opinion like, so much creativity there, there is definitely a chance.

If we were signing peak Arteta you may have a point . But you're getting an erection over signing a washed up Arteta who hasn't played for two years on £200k a week. It's really sad and makes me wonder what you're missing in your life.

You genuinely think peak Grealish was better than peak Ginola? Jesus Christ. Ginola won PFA player of the year playing for Spurs. Grealish is no where near as good as any of you dweebs think.
