Drove from Lincolnshire and weighed up lots of different options to get to the ground but decided on the day to do what I did when I went to Goodison. Parked on Walton Hall Avenue and then went for a pint in the Taxi Drivers Club. After that headed towards Goodison, the difference here was that I was on the matchday bus that I'd got on to outside the TD club. A bit surreal really: the blues are at home, it's matchday, yet after a few seconds GP has been and gone on the journey. Was dropped off on Great Howard Street, really close to the ground, the journey was £2 and totally hassle-free, same on the way back after the game.
There was just my car and one other on Walton Hall Avenue when I got back to it, then had a very leisurely drive out of town compared to how it was post-match at Goodison.
Does anyone know if the additional buses were just put on for the test event or will it be a regular thing?

The taxi club have defo got a bus running to and from the ground for this season. Sure you can reserve a seat with them if you give them a call.

If you can’t access the link it basically says that going forward they will focus on current players.

Presumably they’re going to continue to make the big tifos etc though, just with more recent / current players.
Hopefully to old ones still get an airing and it’s just anything new will be for current players.

I think they were sold out for season packages, they’ve only held one of the 4 person loges for game by game sale I think.

I noticed that the East Stand got a real 15 minutes blast of sunshine in the second half and most of the lower tier had arms and hands up covering their eyes.

Anyone sat there from this forum who could comment on the experience?

Yeah ee moved yo the front row of the East Stand Upper dir the Legends game. We did get blasted with the sun, but no big deal it was a great view in a place that will be very hard to get seats in again

My brother in law got charged £20 for a bottle of water at one of those self serve jobs.

That's the holding charge, mine flashed up £20 on my phone then they just take what you've spent, like the self service petrol pumps that take £99

Was weird watching it on tv, was almost like watching us in America, in strange stadiums. seems to be loads of places they can put extra seats that might of just need the stream
