New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Isn't it that they take £20 and then refund whatever you don't spend ?

Well that's exactly what the customer service girl outside the barrier told me, it would take £20 out of my bank automatically. Yet when I've looked at my mobile banking today £13.50 has been taken out, the correct price for two pints of Budweiser. Again how they knew I was only having two pints of lager I don't know, maybe they have a camera on you throughout, because there is food on the shelves before you get out.

Surely the chaos underneath for refreshments was just a part of it being new. People having a day out as opposed to going to competitive match when the novelty has worn off.
Everyone will have wanted a blue donut or to sample the "famous" salt and pepper chicken washed down with a drink.
All new places are chokka when they open👍 Sure it won't be the norm.
Been out all day but just before we left i saw a post i had no time to pick up on.
A poster said he was a bit bothered that was the final test event with no others planned.
I was wondering about that post and can now see his point.
Yesterday was not normal.
It was a big window of 7 hours from midday to close on 7pm.
Mainly due to the excitement of the first game and the legends match.
Surely on matchday it will revert to a shorter window of circa three hours for entry and egress.
Hence i thought the idea of another test using those parameters a good idea and a better yard stick to deal with any further issues.

I work in retail tech and they have cameras tracking your movements and work out what you pick up and leave with, same concept as the Amazon fresh stores, if you look up next time you'll see loads of cameras, pretty smart

They are the loge seats, or boxes.

They are still on sale on Seat Unique for the Brighton game - £1499 per seat, with a minimum of two seats per order.

I'm not sure of this, but I think that may be a reduced price.
They disgust me and offend my socialist principles....

...wouldn't mind having a go in one though...just to see what the filthy bourgeoise scum are up to.

'Research'.

I noticed that the East Stand got a real 15 minutes blast of sunshine in the second half and most of the lower tier had arms and hands up covering their eyes.

Anyone sat there from this forum who could comment on the experience?
Upper East here and had to eye shield for about 10 minutes of the legend game as the sun was poking just over the rim of the south stand. Not much more to say about it really, unless we want a dome it's not gonna be sun proof!

Went to the Windy after the blue mile beforehand and it was sound, not too busy. Queue for turnstile 8 was horrific, after asking a steward he said weirdly the queue was for both 8 and 9 although 9 had no queue. I chanced it and got in.

The upper south concourse was busy but think it will settle down as everybody gets their bearings, also not sure how many came around to have a look at the bar with the view. HT we ordered 2 Stella (ran out of San Miguel) and got 1.75 pints. When questioned was told "that's the best you're gonna get"! After saying we'd paid for 2 pints they went and got us a half. Anybody in the upper south find any Guinness? Didn't fancy walking around the other stands yesterday.
There was Guinness on the self pour machines as I came in from Turnstile 14. I'm in upper East (216) but pretty much right on the corner of the south. Just around the bend a bit from the FlightBirds

Just got on the bus, no pre-booking. It left from the bus stop near to the railway bridge, 30 seconds walk from the Taxi Club. That arrangement worked a treat for me, from parking my car up to getting back behind the wheel to drive back home.
Hi mate, what was the bus? A soccer bus type thing or a normal Arriva/Stagecoach service? Still can’t decide what to do about getting there and this sounds less painless than most options I have available…
