Rice is one of the best midfielders in world football mate. He’d walk into most teams.

Can't take the ball off the goalkeeper or the CBs though as has been shown time and again when he plays for England. There's a reason England always lose the midfield battle against decent teams. He does have a great engine though.

I think he only agrees to stay here because successive manager indulge him in his hoof ball.

He;s a great shot stopper, no question. But he wrecks at least 50% of our possession chances with his hoofing.

Moyes should have the guts to tell him to roll it out more often.

I do worry how long its going to take for that pinged ball on the ground to the centre circle that he did numerous times yesterday backfires.

This is the manager's job to give him a bollocking. Presumably we haven't just bought a GK so he can sit on the bench. There has to be some consideration to form and first team starts.

As I've said: he's still been great shot stopping, Pickford. But we're not served well by him indulging his fantasies of being an outfield player.

Drop him deeper as an 8 next to a sitting midfielder and allow him to link play with Grealish ahead of him in the middle and Ndiaye on the other side.

Nice problem to have though: Grealish/Ndiaye/KDH/McNeill can all go into that higher central position and cause havoc between opposition lines.

I don’t know much about this lad, heard on a pod over the weekend he’s a central attacking midfielder, presuming we sign grealish and continue pursuit of at least one right winger, throw in Ndiaye then will he play central midfield with Gana.
