Transfer Rumour Tyler Dibling

The club needs to get this agreed tomorrow or immediately move down the list. We cannot go into the opening fixtures with no right winger in the squad, what kind of inept strategy is that?

I thought the whole idea of bringing in new people behind the scenes was to make things better.

Both clubs and the player need to agree. I don't get why people don't understand that this size transfer can take months to negotiate

Very different stories by the day now.

Think he's a reputable source
£10 mil is a lot from being very close and a £3.5 mil difference.

I don’t see us moving on here. The fact there’s news every day and it fluctuates tells me they’re hopefully banging out the details. Neither side wants to concede first or too much. Each club needs to show the media no one pushed them around and they won in the deal. I think Everton has the leverage here. Southampton needs that influx of cash to buy three players or they’ll sink to League 1.

Just not sure about the source.

Will wait Bobble pipes up , he's been bang on upto now.
He said the clubs were 3.5m apart a while ago, if that was truly the case the transfer would have been wrapped up by now. With all the different figures being banded about I’d suggest that nobody outside the clubs really knows anything factual about the deal and it’s financing

Wasn't it reported earlier last week that Soton had given him permission to talk to us?

If that was the case then surely any difference in valuation would have been minor and it was the payment structure and add-ons to be agreed?

Just seems to me that Soton thought they saw us coming and could milk us dry so they moved the goalposts on the outline of any initial agreement and we haven't played ball as expected.

Not sure if this happens or not but I hope and expect we stand our ground on what we consider to be a fair valuation.

More importantly if it doesn't happen it can't be at the expense of missing out elsewhere.
Think they expected lots of teams to come out the wood work, as yet its just us. They clearly wanted a bidding war
