I'd actually be completely fine if we agreed to a two year loan deal covering the 250k per week with city and the player. Take him up to the end of his contract at City.

Wonder if this means Ndiaye is on the right for the season. Think our recruitment team have run out of ideas for the right after starting so late
I think having players like KDH, Alcaraz, Grealish and Ndiaye means you don’t have to have them in set positions. Those 3 could probably interchange pretty seamlessly throughout a game. McNeil and Dibling give you a bit of width at the cost of a bit of that flexibility.

I’m not talking about 10 years I’m talking about 3.

Are we backed by big money? I mean comparatively the answer is no right?

Acting like a “big” club is why the Moshiri era became an unmitigated disaster.
Yes, we are backed by big money. If you're comparing the Friedkins to Moshiri, you really haven't been keeping up.

We’re backed by people who have enough money to sign Jack Grealish

Friedkin Group has money

That’s not the issue

The issue is keeping the spending within the bullshine PSR regulations, not whether Friedkin actually has the money itself to spend

Right and then he leaves.

This is the issue. It’s a loan. We’re better today, finish mid table, and then it’s gone.

We are not even half a season removed from playing 2+ years of relegation level football. I would love for the turnaround to be quick but the more likely path is this year is one where we set the foundation for us to start competing for Europe again. This move just fundamentally can’t be a part of that foundation. It also could (to be very clear I’m not saying it will, just it could) be damaging towards the pieces that are in that foundation.

I just can’t support it from that standpoint.
So you're just opposed to the concept of loaning players now?
