Confirmed Signing Jack Grealish

I’m sure he’s being signed with the goal of playing them together in some form, which sounds pretty exciting to be honest
They’re so similar I just don’t see how it really works. Someone will say that one or the other can play as the #10 and I don’t really see that. Ndiaye has done for us and looked less comfortable and dangerous and Grealish has tried at both Villa and City only to end up on the left. Neither has the skill set to play the right.

To what end? He’s on loan and very likely not going to be made permanent. He’s 30 and struggled with fitness even if we were looking at making it permanent. He’s going to take minutes away from our current best player and/or shift him out of position. And all of that so we can finish what, 11th instead of 13th?

He enables McNeil to be played on the right mate, you should be delighted at this prospect after calling for it for years.

Technically City will be paying the salary and Everton will pay them a fee which will be recorded as a transfer fee for the year’s playing rights

The reports are that Everton have offered to pay £250k per week to help cover his £300k per week wages.

The £50k per week shortfall is still being negotiated.

However you dress it up, it’s not good.

If we signed a player for 40m on 100k a week, the cost per week would work out to 250k.

We aren’t paying his wages, we are paying city to loan a player.
