Confirmed Signing Jack Grealish

It does in the sense that it shows good players are coming to the club so there must be something good about it. Negates the relegation fodder perspective a bit and promotes the club with a project that is moving them forward.
It does indeed, but we still have some dross that can lose us a match, despite expensive players on the pitch. Solid in most positions will be a couple of seasons away

If he still has a desire to get in the England squad, there's no reason why he won't fit in here and offer Moyes something different

Of course the flip side is the recruitment team should be looking for a young wizard for a fee around the 12m mark, but it looks to me like they put their eggs in the basket of Tete, Fofana, Kubo etc and expected these type of players to agree and sign.
Being honest mate, getting Grealish sorted asap might actually move the needle for certain other players to come as well, there's a clear perception difference to signing for Everton right now and signing for a Everton whose just brought in Grealish - especially for younger players who grew up watching him.

250K a week

Not sure how I feel about that to be honest

Obviously happy to have him because he can play, but how much of an effect is that going to have on us signing other players?
I suppose it depends on how much of a fee we are paying on top ie. It could be we aren’t paying City anything and therefore would you mind if it was £100k per week and the rest as a loan fee? I think he wins us games and therefore prize money of a few higher places in the table could cover it.

You struggle to see the point of signing a player who walks into our starting eleven?
To what end? He’s on loan and very likely not going to be made permanent. He’s 30 and struggled with fitness even if we were looking at making it permanent. He’s going to take minutes away from our current best player and/or shift him out of position. And all of that so we can finish what, 11th instead of 13th?

As long as they don’t want £250k a week…

It strengthens our negotiating position for the likes of Dibling as well.
The whole world can see we’re short on attackers, and will have our pants down accordingly.

Bring another in like grealish, and we’re no longer as desperate.

As a short term loan signing there's not much downside to it. An upside to signing Grealish, is he'll be wanting to perform to stay in the England squad and if he plays well to that end they we'll benefit. I'm all for short term signings, that may help us win a cup this season or next. He'll get plenty of free kicks giving the opportunity for working on our dead ball routines.

I’m sure he’s being signed with the goal of playing them together in some form, which sounds pretty exciting to be honest
