Get him in sharpish, get him training by midweek and then let him loose against Leeds. They won’t be wanting this move to happen anytime soon you can be sure of that.
Think he will be fit not for the whole game but see it that he has a point to make here. Show that he has still got it and by the reaction of ndiaye bits of magic and skill. Grealish will get the same been needing something like this after the few years we have had, i am really hopefull he can come in and help us kick on

Does it actually work like this though? Take Dibling for instance, we already know he wants to join us without Grealish. The sticking point isn’t the player, it’s the price. Are we talking about someone like McAtee who might be Grealish’s mate?
No idea mate, just made it up in my head...sounds good to me, id want to play with Grealish

I hope it happens. But realistically we shouldn't be focused on him.

I do believe if we had one hand doing the transfer business at this club we'd have had 3-4 at last more in by now...that's IF there is cash to spend, like.
I’ll be glad to see the £1.20 price hike for a pint of Guinness being used in this way. Might even make me drink more of the stuff

It does in the sense that it shows good players are coming to the club so there must be something good about it. Negates the relegation fodder perspective a bit and promotes the club with a project that is moving them forward.

I like Grealish but there's a cash + time element to this that's off-putting.

Great if they got him in after we secure 3 more quality attacking players plus a RB, but if Grealish talks are holding that up and putting pressure on cash reserves for elsewhere that's just a barmy waste.

250k per week works out for the full season given say he arrives 11th August as 11.5m total paid.

Signing say a 28-29yo on a three year deal for 20m on 75k per week would cost us per season 10.8m per season with little to no real resale after and that's ignoring any signing on and agent fees which likely would see the cost pushed up to around the 11.5m mark.

Difference being if Grealish is a success we can do a similar deal next season with city, if he isn't we walk away now lasting residual costs carrying over, on the signed player you are paying that 11m for next and the one after also.

Yeah I do get this. Perception is half our battle at the minute. The other half is an incompetent recruitment team.
