A Texan oil tycoon, named Jack 'Cadillac' Grimm, found the bow of the Titanic in 1980, but because the information was such that the object he found was 600ft long and not the 800ft long that Titanic was, and that it was believed she sank as a whole, the object he found was dismissed as not the wreck after all.
