If the window pans out how we hope, Alcaraz is going to end up an absolutely perfect sub option. Versatile, full of endeavour, capable of quality on occasion. But just lacks that little bit of pace and a little bit of quality on the ball to be a guaranteed starter (presuming the starting XI is improved by Grealish, Dibling/proper RW and a holding mid).

He would be infinitely better than any option we've had on a bench for a very long time.

Love the difference of opinions. Firstly i thought he worked as hard as anyone on the pitch. Cant quite work out why he gets some kind of luxury player vibe. He grafts. Secondly dont play him wide. Play him central. I can see him and dewsbury hall being on the same wavelength. Lets not sign technically good players and start benching them. Was going to chuck in ndiaye aswell but he can be more individual. But this trio can make things happen.
Start with that base.

….agree and he’ll get plenty of game time covering for injuries and suspensions.

I think Alcaraz is a good option in the squad for the price we paid, but I do think it'd be good to be in a position where he's not in our best XI. Would show we're on the right track.

I think he's already a bit under rated by Everton fans. But we cant be sticking him wide like yest. Alcaraz(central) KDH, Ndiaye, Mcneil and Beto. Theres the workings of something good there. Its worth persisting with. Its just a shame we have no orthodox fullbacks who can join in with attacks. It kills this team a lot.

The full back situation is shocking and has been for a while. It's stifled our attack for years. Our wingers have the hardest task in the league trying to make things happen with absolutely no support.

I really like him but i think hes going to be 'one of those players' that the manager just shouts at and fans get on his back very easily. Other players like Garner and mcneil always seem to get a free pass.

It was nice to have some technical ability on the pitch at the same time. N’Diaye, Charley and KDH linked well at times. What was alarming once again was the lack of pace on the counter, the difference to us and Roma on the counter attack was like night and day. The difference someone like Soule would make to our team is staggering.
