With respect to Jarred he’s not good enough for that
Again. That is our owners line of thinking. And I disagree. Our defense is always the best part of the side when he is healthy despite having nonexistent fullback play the past few years. Whether the players we are bringing in are good enough to transform the side is the question. At least our owners are trying. It may be stupid but Branners is gone next season anyways. Somebody will pay his clause.

Just exceptionally naive

Would be a really exciting cherry on top if we successfully fix the right hand side and find a proper holding midfielder.

Would be an odd, costly and 2017-esque use of resources if we fail to address the more glaring needs.

Nothing seems to be getting done in priority order this summer, which may not end up being a problem but has to be cause for concern given the club's track record with these sort of things.

Seems like Everton and Spurts are reluctant to fully pay his wages. If so walk away. Grealish was told end of last season to find another club. If he can't through greedily holding out for the loan club to fully pay his wages I'd bring him back and having him training with our academy and watching games from the stands.

"If he can't through greedily holding out for the loan club to fully pay his wages"

No.

The loan club pays City a fee. City continue to pay Grealish's wages as per his contract.

If City want Grealish to change his contract then they need to agree this with him. Its certainly not about "Grealish greedily holding out for the loan club to pay his wages".

Thats pure stupidity. Your club are cheats.

Spot on .

He’s signed a contract I’m not sure why wanting what’s in it is now viewed as greedy .

I blame the Sunderland documentary where rodwell was vilified for not wanting to drop money , heavily criticised by a CEO on £25k a week who got a £2m pay off when he left .

Some footy players definitely take the Mick but not wanting to give up money they’re legally obliged to pay you isn’t an example of it for me .

The bit I can’t work out is Grealish plays in the same position as our best player. So it’s an odd move when we’re screaming out for a few other positions.

Does come across more like "this is the best player we can get, so get him" type of thing.

Also does make McNeil kinda a redundant backup as his two positions would both be the only outfield positions we have two nominal starters in.

If we had more of an actual squad you'd think it's be a signal we'd be looking to sell McNeil, but can't imagine we are gonna sell anyone when we can barely field a subs bench right now.

Just for the love of God, bring a right winger in who is actually one not naturally not a cm or left winger.....

If Grealish doesn't have the heart to try and fight to get back into the City team to win trophies in England and Europe.

I'm sure coming to Everton and trying to get into the top half of the league is going to reignite the fire he has for the game.

Will be an expensive flop this.

Maybe, maybe not, but once Guardiola makes a decision I can't think of him ever going back on it, Eto'o, Ibra, Ronaldinho all once out of favour never got back in.

It seems like weve gone for KDH who plays in the same two positions as Alcaraz & Gana.

Were now going for Grealish who plays in the same 2 positions as Ndiaye, Alcaraz & KDH.

It does speak to a push for Europe to the media while having no right hand side.
