Perhaps they have looked at the squad and see a squad that struggled for the last 3 season, that has had one first team player added over the summer (KDH), no right side to the team, young, inexperienced, expensive, unproven additions that don’t even cover what we lost at the end of last season.
A team that will reduce further during AFCON and with injuries (which we are already picking up), and wonder how we can be so threadbare after spending huge amounts of money. And a Club so desperate to add some proven quality they are trying to throw £15M+ for a year at City for a loan of floppy doll Grealish who has barely had a good game in the last 2 years and struggles to get into their matchday squad.

Perhaps they don’t see how the “potential” we’ve over paid for gives us the experience, fight, or depth of last years squad, and are wondering if we have improved at all.
Personally I think we’ll be OK. But there is an over-reliance on 5-6 never getting injured that is perhaps unrealistic given the nature of football, and our past history.

We can draw plenty of games, without a decent supply and won’t wing many.

Whilst we persist in giving McNeill game time he will stifle what little supply we have. His two screamers a season don’t push us up the table.

It's all about filling the right wing imo, also do think another striker is needed. ,do that and I'm saying 9th to 12th.

12th or 13th. Built on Moyes defensive solidarity. Midfield has more creativity with Dewsbury Hall, Alcarez and Ndiaye, than what we started last season with. Excited to see how they combine and link. Beto and Barry should be good for a few goals between them. Barry carries a lot of expectation for a young lad, but should be an adequate replacement of an injury prone DCL.

Based on today and current squad. We'll be lucky to stay up. so 13th - 17th guess for me..

Thought we were ok for 60 minutes. Toothless up front, solid ish at the back. I am expecting a good number of 1-0 home wins this season

Make a couple more decent signings and I think 9-12th is easily possible. If we stick with what we have got and make no more signings I can see a struggle again
