A lot of the moaning about bars today, was due to people all going to the same bar!!

You can walk around your level of the stadium from north to south, via the east stand & there are more bars, E-bars & that walk through shop thingy!

Once people get used to this & spread out a bit, the concourse will seem less packed.

One bar in the whole of the lower north stand is still a bit ridiculous. I couldn’t get from the block at the end of the North Stand around past the bar at half time because of the crowds. Was worse than the Upper Gwladys.

EDIT: Just thought I’d edit to add that before KO it was absolutely fine. Only bad at half time.

My cousin was in that gate 2 queue. Queued from 2.10 and got in his seat at 3.15. An utter scandal. He was told that the signal for the scanners was at fault. He had a paper ticket and it wasn't picking up the bar code off it.

I had a QR code on my phone and it was taking forever to find the position on the scanner to turn it green, and the stewards there were 'kin useless telling me to stand aside and find a 'ticket officer'. Daft gets.

The stadium being stupendous made-up for it like.

We were 247 and had no problems at all. Took about 10 minutes to get served

I remember going to the Co op arena for the first time & joining a very large queue for the bar, near where we came in.

A bloke came down an escalator, near to us & said "there's another bar up there with no queue mate"

We went up & got served straight away!!

People just understandably think this is the queue & wait...However with all modern venues, there is multiple bars & it's worth a short walk to a bar with a smaller queue!

BTW, there's no way that was a full house today. Empty seats all over the place...blocks in some places.

Didn't need to mate. The checks at the gate were lax. Only people with cans were getting pulled aside as far as I could tell. I waltzed in with me nuts and bottle of water no problem.

There was an entire block in West Upper near to the south stand that was empty

Walked back from the stadium after the game into town with 2 little ones….

Nice easy stroll at no more than 30 mins to get to Old Hall Street!

This 100%. Took us about 11 seconds to get in the ground, in South lower the food and drink places closest to the entrances were heaving, another 20 yards and I walked straight to the front.

You would think there would be some stewards around guiding to other kiosks

The commentators said it was sold out including all those set aside for Roma but not everyone came from Roma. Not saying that’s all the absences. Just relaying what they said.

I can only vouch for the upper level mate

...Are you sure that was the only bar, as there was many on the upper level

The Blue House: walked in and walked out abut 10 seconds later.

It was like the black hole of Calcutta with music played at mind boggling volume. It felt like a CIA sensory deprivation prison. WTF people get out of that I dont know.

The Bramley Moore was easily better.

Reckon it was old duffers like you, not knowing where to scan your QR code, that held me up at gate 2.
