Homepage Article Everton V Roma. Sat Aug 9th. 3pm

….from what’s defined on here, ‘Everton Da’s’ are fans who think players of yesteryear are better than the modern crop.

I just think younger posters will come to realise there are mighty fine footballers in every era and we should celebrate them through the passage of time.

Everybody will realise one day that they’re an ‘Everton Da’.

Or older people will realise that people younger people than them are more important than them. I'm a dad and to me, this is the way you should some up your life:

Same problems… but KDH by far our most comfortable on the ball in central positions.

Need desperately to sort out the middle and some attacking / creative players.

Garner was back to his below average self

I tried my best to concentrate on the game despite what felt like thousands of questions from the kids, the majority of which I could answer. My distracted brain felt that we were good in the first half and, like other pre-season games, didn’t score when on top. KDH showed us what it’s like to have a proper midfielder—someone who takes the ball on the turn and opens up the game. It was worrying how open the midfield became after Gana went off on 60. Barry looked a handful.

We looked much more dangerous when Yakubu and Baines entered the fray.

My prevailing thought from the game was that it was a real shame we didn't see Dewsbury Hall and Beto at the same time. KDH put some great balls through, and that's the kind of service Beto thrives on. I feel like those 2 could link up really well
I was thinking the same thing. I feel KDH and Beto should be the starting combo. And maybe Moyes thinks that, too, but was just testing things.
