I thought he did fairly well today. He definitely works hard and can link play.

Wasn’t up to much today. McNeil showed more when he came on and I think Moyes will go for McNeil to give extra defensive cover on the left. Charley doesn’t do this for us in my view

Tbf alcaraz did lots of tracking back today. At one stage early on i thought he was right back lol.
He's done as ok as anyone else pre season. I think we've got to try and get him dewsbury hall and ndiaye clicking. They all have good ability.
Tbh i think Garners place should be more under threat than alcaraz.

Have you not watched a single game of pre season or something Zat?

Ive seen Moyes continue to use him out of position. Ive also seen him come central into the 10 role (like today) and drive forward with the ball and be very close to putting players in.

He was also the player with the best attempt on goal.

Totally disagree on performance 2nd half. Thought McNeil made 2 nice balls and that was about it.

My concern though is that both seemingly were meant to be on the right and theres been space out wide right all preseason.

Moyes already indicated that he thinks Alcaraz is better coming off the bench as an impact sub. That's an important role for a club, and something we've lacked for a long time.

He did this after Alcaraz was motm at Palace. Dropped him and then used him as a sub wide left for Ndiaye.

Hes our best 10 for me, not even close.

Id have KDH at CM so he has more ahead of him and Alcaraz at 10.

Its mind blowing to me how Moyes isnt cementing him there with Ndiaye left. Seems obvious to me

Moyes has always been a “keep it tight” manager. I don’t think he will sacrifice that for more flair if the hipsters still call it that

Think it was Ndiaye right by the corner flag with 2 players on him who got it to Alcaraz who quickly turned and came forward with the ball.

If we had KDH looking ahead to see Ndiaye (Left) and Alcaraz (central) I think that would be effective in linking play especially on the counter.

At the moment it looks like midfielders are thrown in with no instructions with a massive space on the right and everyone central.

Agreed. Pretty clear from the line up that the position that’s up for grabs is the one on the right.

That said, it’ll be interesting to see what Moyes sees as his strongest 11 if we get both Dibling and Grealish.

Wonder where he fits. He hasn’t forced himself into the starting 11 but he’s got the special something about him. I feel like he only gets into the side if KDH drops deeper.
