That's why I've got so much more respect for Baines over Coleman. How on earth he's continued accepting contracts for almost 5 years since Baines retired is unfathomable.

Baines could have played a year or two longer as a squad player, but he decided he'd given as much as possible and bowed out so that he didn't leave as a liability—the opposite to what Coleman decided to do.

I know McCarthy only just retired in 2024, but he looks so much slimmer than I remember him. Could just be an optical illusion given the circumference of some of the other gents.
