Think you'd be surprised how many teams remit for their commercial teams won't have such targets mate.

TFG are setting a goal for the sides progression on the field a d a matching one for the commercial team off it.

It's nice to see an owner actually set a high bar after seeing anything being accepted under Moshiri and Bill.

Think you're seeing this reflected in the level of player targeted for the side this year, owners have clearly set a mark for on field progression to the CEO etc - one that requires better than players who can "do a job"

You would hope they wouldn't need it, given that the new people should really be in the image of TFG and fit with the corporate culture, as they were selected under their ownership.

It's no harm for TFG to bang on the wall every now and then though to remind or reinforce what is required. They set the overall strategy and provide some of the impetus. It's taken for granted elsewhere but at least now there appears to be an environment where non-delivery has consequences.
 
I see that there is a private jet due in Liverpool at 12:15, it stays until 19:00.

Closer look at its owner shows its owned by a company called Fayez Sarofim & Co.

The chairman of that company is Christopher Sarofim, who is also part of Everton ownership group.

Wonder if the Friedkins are on that flight?

Friedkin Jr arrived earlier today on a private jet from Cannes.
