Have TeamTalk got a thing right this summer, or indeed ever?
The only person at TeamTalk who can report on Everton is Harry Watkinson, who used to work for the club writing match reports. He was the first person to report on interest in Thierno Barry by a few weeks and reported on KDH a day before Romano.

I don’t see it working for Spurs. Would not seem a very Levy thing to do blowing the wage structure and no chance of any clever dealings. Doesn’t seem to give a toss what might excite the fans.

Don’t understand why they wouldn’t just buy Elliot. As nauseating as it is to say it, he should be playing every week, and he just isn’t going to over there.

You are wrong, things are organic, built out of skill, ingenuity and sporting integrity and they gain respect - take Crystal Palaces FA CUP win, that's worth more then City's contrived treble - as is Leicester Title win, its worth more then if City win 10. You can win a lot but you cant beat the good guys every time.

City aren't anything but a blunt blade ripping the soul out of football, steam roll small clubs - take all the best young players they have put time, skill an effort in by throwing money at them, need a centre forward lets go buy Erling Haaland - yep a lot of top scouting gone on there. Lets sign a centre back for 30 mill in Jan and send him on loan to Girona for season, o rperhaps on eof the other clubs in our stable and get his wages of our PSR bill. You've built nothing out of sporting integrity you've contrived trophies through resources and rule bending. Its nothing respected in football, hollow achievements that has world football and domestic football followers bored out of their skulls.

City were once a great club, man - Maine Road had a soul, the crowd, the noise, the Francis Lee's, Colin Bell's, Summerbees, Rosler, Goat, SWP, Kinkladze a club with a soul for better or worse - a proper football club. In a way they were a bigger club then, than now. I miss City if im honest.

Ultimately though the only choice City fans have now is put their fingers in their ears and pretend to themselves anything they have achieved has merit or worth or it was built by anything else then contrived battery hen forced feeding in a sports sense, what City do isnt sport. Someone said it earlier on - City aren't a big club they are club with money and essentially that it, world football and football fans know through worth and integrity - the Palce and Leicester stuff. As i said earlier 10 City titles isn't worth Leicester's one or their treble isnt worth one Palace FA CUP as they were done with integrity.

Id honestly hate to be City, no offence but im thankful it wasnt us, id miss my club, rough edges and all - but real.

Good post and I agree with much of it. City used to be like Everton, very very similar in lots of ways. But the game is all about money and City didn't start the big spending, plenty of other clubs were doing it before us.

I've suffered a lot more watching City than any of you have watching Everton. You really don't know what misery is. And I've also seen success beyond my wildest dreams. I'm grateful we were bought out to be where we are now.

Unless you start spending big you'll continue to be a mediocre middle of the road club thinking you're a bigger club than us😉😁

I used to like City, especially when they had that wizard Kinkladze.

I dont care about their owners, manager or getting top players for big money.

What I do care about is them cheating.

They have cheated and remain unpunished.

I hope someone has the balls to take them down big time.

I still like Citeh...cheating? Define that in EPL standards? When Chelsea do it, it is being " creative"... Man Utd finish 15th...owner says they are broke yet they spend $200 million odd and the press love it. American money is " clean", Arab money is " dirty"...if it wasnt for Citeh challenging US corporate money, the RS would be 10 time in a row champions...

What? Youre talking about operating within the boundaries of (rigged) PSR.

Those are the rules.

City have cheated many, many times.

The rules are " [Poor language removed]" and up to this point, outside of the Man Utd and RS loving media, Citeh havent been found guilty of anything. The ONLY teams who have ever suffered from PSR " rules" are Everton and Forest because EVERY casual football fan can see that these two teams are whats wrong with modern football😅

We are quite happy slowly selling off the EPL to corporate Merika, but God forbid, Arabs or anyone else with real money want to spend it, we have " rules"...remember who it was pushing for the Super League? No relegation, automatic CL? It was the yank owned teams.

All the “rules” ate stupid and designed to benefit the rich. City have actually cheated. The others have taken advantage of the righted system. Football is a reflection of modern politics. The rich stay rich and the rest suffer. Fly too close to the sun and you’ll be punished.

Still the rules which can be corrupted.

City have actually cheated, everyone knows it.

City and their owners are accused of inflating the value of contracts beneficial to Man City that were not negotiated or agreed on an arms length basis. They're accused of purposefully doing that to avoid PSR breaches and give them an advantage over other teams due to the artifice that is their global income. This is specifically prohibited by PSR. The stated reason for PSR is to avoid clubs being completely reliant on their owners for income that would place a club at solvency risk should the owner withdraw their support, so the accusations against City go right to the heart of the underlying PSR policy.

Chelsea selling hotels, and now Chelsea and Everton selling their women's teams, to Group Companies, isn't a direct contravention of PSR. It's certainly a beach of the spirit of the PSR rules, and could be a slippery slope if it doesn't end with non-men's team assets, but there's no rule against it. The members of the Premier League voted against a clarification of the rules that would have prevented these actions. Chelsea also circumvented the rules by offering very long contracts. For what it's worth, I agree this is cheating - both Chelsea and Everton - but it's clearly not a breach of the PSR rules.

Man United managed to avoid PSR breach by having a substantial portion of their losses set outside of the PSR remit. For reasons that are utterly opaque the club paid for Jim Ratcliffe's fees of tens of millions of pounds for Ratcliffe's acquisition of a minority shareholding in the club. It's extremely unusual for the target to pay an acquirer's fees, if not unheard of. That raises questions that nobody seems intersted in asking, not least whether it was done to hide other losses that would have meant Man United breached PSR. I think Man United likely cheated and have breached PSR both in terms of the spirit and word of the PSR rules.
