New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

It cost nearly a billion to build. They're never gonna be doing 3 for a fiver or a Curry Club as a favour.

Who said that?

But if its a fiver youre more Inclined to have more than one, whereas £7 its a "treat" for me.

No one is asking for them to give it away, I just think they had a chance to get people into a routine. If they want to charge £7 in 26/27, then they'd probably keep the majority of those staying.

Depends doesn't it, if they price themselves too high, or don't have a beer people want then they will spend money elsewhere instead. There is a happy medium where profits are maximised by not charging premium prices.

You'll have all the employees from opening time on the Brighton game not doing much for a couple of hours if the pricing is out of whack tomorrow. A few beers for x price, for an hour, might get punters in early but they haven't tried.

Sadly its a standard though and was always going to be the case.

Maybe done a discount for the final test event but those prices are the norm now for event catering.

People will pay it

While I agree they could've also done a more up market and bespoke section, I do think that the majority of fans are fine with this as its a generic line up you'll find in most ale houses - add Stella, Madri, Smiths to that.

I'm baffled people are disappointed. There's something for everyone.

Beer snobs ARE NOT WELCOME.

But thats where the pre and post event stuff comes in, local vendors, and food options. Its not all about the ale.

It'll also be where new routines and match going experiences develop over time.

If there's more going off than JUST the game, more people are inclined to pay for the ale

….pedantic but I’d prefer ‘Home of the Toffees’ rather than ‘Home of the Blues’ in the players tunnel. There’s lots of teams known as ‘The Blues’, but there’s only one ‘Toffees’.

Blues just seems non-descript.

Sorry you feel this way Eggsy. Maybe you need to be study the Davek way of moaning over nothing more?

As noticed at the test events, the number of staff in some kiosks where standing doing nothing (may have been them all being there to train).

But won't take long for them to realise they won't need so many staff when people realise the prices are too high and will be wasted money having staff around 3 hour.
