New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Selection is diabolical.

Should have a:

Lager/pilsner
Pale ale/iPa
Stout/mild
Bitter/ale

Locally sourced as possible.

Plus fizzy and box ciders.

Looking at that I'd drink somewhere else prior, maybe a quick pint at half time if I'm desperate and queue isn't too big and then straight onto somewhere else at full time.

I wouldn't hang around paying premium prices for horse urine.
Agree, what a f ing let down. Pretty sure I bought a ST to enjoy the experience, as much as hoping for half decent football...atm both underwhelming.

Booooo

Just think theyve missed a huge chance here.

Its a unique experience where no one has a "local" to drink in so far. They could have had gates at midday, shown the early game and made prices lower, even £5.50-6.00 wouldn't have been too unreasonable.

They had a golden chance to make it affordable, get people to see the stadium as the local and get more and more dough.

Im aware its that price in town now, but they just had a chance to actually make them the cheapest around and have everyone in, spending their money.

That is not the full selection; see link below:

Still not seeing any local ales or ciders.

It is what it is, I'd have a pint at the game through lack of choice buy I wouldn't stay there.

Others might be happy, I feel disappointed.

I've said before but when I've been Bristol City's ground they had a selection of beers and ciders all from local breweries. I expected better than this.

While I agree they could've also done a more up market and bespoke section, I do think that the majority of fans are fine with this as its a generic line up you'll find in most ale houses - add Stella, Madri, Smiths to that.

I think anyone expecting cask single batch artisan beer was always in for a disappointment 🤣🤣 it's a footy stadium not a camra festival.

It's got to be consistently and easily sourcable in large quantities!!!!

Pricing yes by all means. But selection wise it seems fine to me.

Some people acting like the 'real ale t***s' in the Viz 🤣🤣
Thank you!!! I like a local IPA, but we have to be realistic. This is the a premier league football ground. We need deals with big companies with mass appeal. People will be moaning we haven’t ripped Everton way up to make way for a garden so the club can grow their own vegetables.

In theory there's nothing stopping them doing occasional more bespoke beers in small batches from a stall maybe in the plaza, but as you say the approach for in the concourses is probably sufficient/appropriate.

Gotta agree with this. People losing their heads cos they can’t get a pint of Old Speckled Knob or whatever.

I’ve drank worse than what’s on that stadium menu.

It cost nearly a billion to build. They're never gonna be doing 3 for a fiver or a Curry Club as a favour.

See how things develop and what the demand is.
Tbf it would not surprise me if at some point in the future they used that plaza as the venue for a beer festival. It'd be a good set up tbf plenty of space, stick a bit of a stage in there for some live music. You could easily do an Oktoberfest type thing in there 👍
