I must admit that I was of the opinion to move on and forget about Dibling but after what I have read about him from people in the know and his age, I now believe he may be worth the fee, don't forget with luck he could be here for ten years and if he was the fee would not be that bad.

He and Chris Rigg (until Sunderland went up) were the 2 i wanted above any others this summer.

He has stardust and is the type other players will want to play alongside in the years to come.

I think people are still not catching on to how highly rated this Dibling kid is.

Speaking to mate who's an Arsenal fan yesterday and he said that Dibling had one of the best individual performances of an opposition player they faced last season. Apparently repeatedly mugged off their cb pairing which is arguably the best in the league.

In his first season of senior football mind you, had 1 championship appearance off the bench for Southampton prior to last season.

The boy has massive potential. We absolutely NEED to get him.

I'd say the same for Fofana on the left as well. These two are the type of transformative signings our own players will see coming into the dressing room and think;

"Wow, we could seriously do something special with these two, this club is going places".

A deal of that size wouldnt be considered anything above standard in my role.

The larger the deal, the simpler they are to get over the line in my experience. Lower cost deals can involve alot of nitpicking.

Matheus Fernandes who is also heavily linked away from Southampton is in their squad tomorrow. Southampton want this Dibling deal to happen.

Yes thats interesting in that Fernandes should also be on ice in this case. Looks like Will Still has been told to leave Dibling out as he will be off.

Interesting watching toffeetv on train on way back from work. Baz seemed very downbeat and negative on the RW and Dibbling situation and Ped was the more positive one. It's screwing with my head ha ha
