How come there's never any young Man City fans on here? Every single one I've encountered online has been around forever and witnessed all the misery.

Is it a bit like when every red from Basingstoke has a grandad who was scouse?
"Well I've not been to the ground myself, but my grandad was from the area, and was a big red...Whereabouts did he live? Erm, Meols I think? I looked it up and its only a few miles from Anfield as the crow flies."

Good post and I agree with much of it. City used to be like Everton, very very similar in lots of ways. But the game is all about money and City didn't start the big spending, plenty of other clubs were doing it before us.

I've suffered a lot more watching City than any of you have watching Everton. You really don't know what misery is. And I've also seen success beyond my wildest dreams. I'm grateful we were bought out to be where we are now.

Unless you start spending big you'll continue to be a mediocre middle of the road club thinking you're a bigger club than us😉😁
Cry me a river, mate. You make some good, factual points, but the condescending tone makes you very unlikeable. If thats what youre going for, maybe go to a city forum and rub shoulders with the rest of your plastic fan base insted? Im sure theyd love to talk down poor little Everton too, and we dont really enjoy people belittling our team on our forum - crazy, i know - so thats a much better place for it

Unless Everton fall into the old third division you can't possibly know how bad things can get. I wasn't meaning to be condescending but if that's how you take it then I don't know how else to say it.

Plastic fan base, who is being condescending now, eh?

Talk about irony. Lol.

And I've been posting on here for 11 years with lots of liked posts so I must have posted stuff that other Evertonions weren't offended at.

i think 12 mil is to cover his wages for the year

city are not going to ask for a loan fee for a player on 300k a week that doesnt play for them

If we gave them his wages up front in the form of a loan fee, then even though they see it leave the club in salary on the PSR sheet, they can claim £12m (or whatever) as profit. They will basically be able to call their outgoings profits.

Mate, do you really think that was the part of your post i thought condecending or are you being dim on purpose?
And no, its not ironic in any way, shape or form. Its pretty clear what my intention was with my post, and it wasnt to pat you on the head while talking you down like you did in your post. I told you pretty clearly that talking condecendingly to Everton supporters about Everton is not enjoyed or apprecited on an Everton forum, and it makes you come off very unlikeable even if youve also made fair points.
The amount of time youve wasted on a teams forum you dont support is irrelevant to me. Ive never been to a city forum, btw, i have no reason to.

The 4-0 at MR in August 1994 still gives me nightmares.

Probably best you put me on ignore pal.

And I called you pal because I imagine you to have a head like a big lump of dog meat🐶

It will take time before most are hankering for a return to Goodison Park however state of the art your new stadium is. I like the Etihad but I prefer Maine Road and lots of older City fans think the same.

And when you've been beaten by small teams in the old third division you'll realise what utter dire really is😉

Tbf though. The City of Manchester Stadium wasnt built first and foremost as a football stadium. Ive been in juts about every room in that stadium (and a realise its likely changed, a lot) but it was never built to top spec.

I know it wasn't. Level 2 and 3 was originally built with no stand at the north end with a 3800 capacity. City got contractors in before we moved in and built the north stand as well as digging the running track up and digging down about 8m below street level to build the 1st level. It then became 48000 capacity before it was further developed when building south stand level 3 which took capacity to about 53000. And the new north stand will make the stadium around 62k.

So true. The real Man City are the play off final V Gillingham with Nicky Weaver. Sold to become an Arab play thing and Noel Gallagher's way of selling tickets.

Are you actually proud how you've achieved your 'success'? Genuine question as to me it would feel very hollow

And now Everton have become an American plaything. We'll see how things transpire to be in a few years but you won't be the same as you are now, for better or worse...
