Confirmed Signing Tyler Dibling

But it actually can be both can’t it, clearly we had no strategy in place for this window and have just been flailing around throwing silly bids in for a player that we seem to have only started talking to in the past 3 weeks. The “move on” bit doesn’t seem to have happened either, as it would appear we have maxed out whatever list the clown car of a recruitment team had cobbled together since July 1st.
Difference is we would have been relegated if we had kept Dyche and they are the League Champions.

There bargaining power is 10 times what ours is.

Business jet coming from Rome to Southampton.... maybe to pick up Dibling to take him back to Rome on a loan (after we purchase of course)

Until Mr Dibling hands in an official transfer request he doesn't want to join Everton badly enough. That will probably be the thing to get this over that line at a not-extortionate price, which tbh it's very nearly at already.
Southampton appear to be in strong posistion given he has only two years left on contract the magic number most if not all other clubs would be itching extend or offload. Somehow we've got to meet their top price.

….i think that’s called having opinions
I just wish people would wait until Sept 1st before shitting the bed.

It’s football, it’s how transfers work, it’s how business works.

You attempt to sell a product for what you believe you can achieve, or what the market can stand.

As time moves on it’s possible that figure becomes negotiable.

Not a lot of business is getting done, things normally ramp up around a week away from the deadline. No, it’s not ideal, but … it’s never been any different yet we all seem so surprised.

We’ll get the bodies in.

I would give them the benefit of the doubt at being led astray on this deal had they not clearly spent some time pursuing Conceicao and Fofana, two players who were never, ever signing for Everton this summer.

But because they've left it so late, they're probably going to take the bath on this deal just to get it done. The player is most likely worth it, and the risk of signing him for a bomb still isn't higher than the risk of signing literally nobody for the position.

Joyce hates Everton and called us tge EV last week, is he still sourced like he used to be, I’m not so sure. We’re desperate for a right winger, we moved on from Kubo and bid 31mil for Forfana. And moved on quickly. But so far not moved on for Dibbling, why? He’s told them he wants to leave, I think we aren’t that far apart or we would have moved on, but no links or even rumours to anyone else.

Did Joyce mention any other names? I bet he didn’t.
Dibbling won’t be at Southampton come the 1st of September, will it be Everton , hopefully, but let’s see.
I’d imagine we will see new links appear asap if we’ve moved on.
