Stones has said he's feeling fit and up for staying at City another year till his contract expires. I'm hoping he can stay fit because he is a top player. I doubt he will though.

As for Grealish I think there'll be one or two other clubs (besides Everton and Spurs) waiting to throw their hat in the ring, and whoever takes him on loan will be fully paying his wages. I think City are standing firm on this.

Pickford i guess at just over 100k, spurs probably have a player a little higher maybe 150k again just guess work. But us or spurs aren’t all of a sudden going to give someone 300k. And I don’t think it’s just the wages, grealish is talented player, but nobody is giving city 40mil fir him.

You have to ask yourself, which clubs interested pay wages of a similar amount, the answer is none and that’s why you won’t get his full wages payed. Even Napoli who have been linked are paying De Bruyne under 200k after that it’s Lukaku on about 130k.

If they stand firm he’ll be staying at the club. No one is paying him 300k/week. It’s a bad contract you won’t get out of without a loss.

I think he'd be our best player but at the rumoured 12-15m loan fee plus 150k pw for a single season it's a no. The ROI for the year doesn't add up. Those costs need to be the difference between Europe and the champions league not bottom half to outside chance of conference league.

Zidane played in a completely different era were players weren't focussed on stats. Looks at Figo's goal stats. But he was a great great winger. Modern attackers are judged on goals and assists.

So any considerations about breaking the wage structure are moot: he is not and will not be a player contracted to us.

Again, you're talking like this guy is a Beardsley, Kanchelskis or J.Rod level player. He isn't that guy and never has been. He isn't going to produce the goals and assists needed to justify the money. And his attitude and physical state must be highly questionable now.
