I agree. 300k per week is an obscene amount, so is 150k per week to the average working class person but top footballers demand top money. And although I don't think Grealish is still a top footballer he is still contracted to City another 2 years and I very much doubt he'll want to take a pay cut.

If Everton have ambitions of getting into the top 6 they'll have to break their transfer fee and up the wages, otherwise top players won't come.
Yeah not arguing that at all. I know wages tend to drift upwards. But I would be weary of making him our top earner

We have to be careful we don’t end up
like United. Their stock has fallen so much they’ve had to pay over the top wages to get players in. Of course it’s all about recruiting the right players, which they have failed at miserably.

Any spare right backs while you're here mate ?
Lol. We haven't even got a proper RB. Pep decided to play Nunes there and apart from a few costly defending mistakes he's done well as he has been creative in final third with a few assists. Lots on Bluemoon are flapping we haven't bought a RB but I'm ok going into new season with Nunes.

He could be yours.

I very much doubt it. City want him sold not loaned and it would be prudent to give him away this summer rather than subsidise his wages with a loan club for one or 2 seasons.
The problem is his wages. I’d argue there are only 6 clubs in world football who could pay those wages (RS, United, Chelsea, Bayern, Real and Barca). He wouldn’t get in any of their starting 11s. The only clubs that would are the Saudi clubs and I don’t think Grealish wants to do that at this stage in his career, although I suspect that is what city are hoping for.

Would love to see it happen but unfortunately I think it has Spurs written all over it, especially with Maddison doing his ACL. Hopefully I’m wrong though
That does seem to have some sense to it...BUT Levy is loathe to give his money away, not sure he wants to do business with someone he cant bully financially. Youd think if there had been more than rumors, BBC, SKY and TS would be over it..."Jack the lad off to London!" Instead theyve begrudgingly and quietly said "Everton have opened talks" in an almose derisory way...eff em all:)))

I doubt Grealish will find any Stella in Saudi😉

If it’s a choice between us or the top 8 not really.

Grealish is a good player - but he’s leaving one of those clubs and none of the other top 6 seem in for him. They quite clearly have squads of 25 that make him surplus. Why would they show us with him and not them with 25. It wont turn the dial.

I think you are overestimating his profile mate.

Grealish isn’t very popular in Ireland may I also add. Where we have a decent base.
Well we are already ahead of that PR move... We signed Saint Seamus to a " Blue for Life" contract so that we could keep the fine people of Ireland happy while we quietly sneak Jack ( formerly O'Grealish) into the team...sneaky this new ownership group;)
