Unless Tottenham or Newcastle intend to change his position to a #10 then why would he join either team as they just bought Kudus and Elanga - both right wingers by trade. Particularly Kudus as West Ham had Bowen which restricted his playing time in his favoured position.

Maybe they just want to pay 45m now rather than 85m in 2yrs time 😉
 

He can play anywhere across the front and will end up and 8 or 10 I reckon, so wouldn’t surprise me if the yids are in after Maddison has blown his acl to bits, and the stripey kopites are just trying to calm their nutty fans down so will start lashing mad bids at anything decent that moves, especially as isak wants out.


As with everything in football, it’s up to the player at the end of the day.

Won’t cry if we don’t get him, we move onto the next one.

Fingers crossed, I’m sure if he’s told them he wants to go, what’s the point in Southampton dragging it out, when they can get the money and start improving their own squad
