So what, are our fanbase seriously still doing this outdated dinosaur "PL experience" crap? Seriously we are a club that has done it too death and its gotten us NOWHERE (that includes the first time Moyes was here) People really need to open their minds a bit, also they need to stop judging players just on the goals and assists columns, I mean its 2025 ffs judging a player just on goals and assists died out with Allardyce and ProZone, there is a bit more detail to it these days.

On potential yes I am, Rooney different gravy as at 19 he was already bordering on if not already world class.

But yeah I saw both the others at 19 and both were by no means the finished article but bags of potential.

France is probably the closest league to the PL when you're comparing the physicality and style anyway. Feel like imports from there do well and vice versa.

Ronaldo had scored 12 goals in 87 games playing for the best team in the Portugal and England. He was thought of as a show pony who could dribble but had no end product or football brain. If someone had said he would become one of the best players ever everyone would have laughed at you.

Agree, we still seem to have this element of the fanbase that just wants to focus on PL players, its very small minded and we will never get value for money doing that, find it weird Id like a nice blend myself, different nationalities with different experiences from a variety of age groups.
