All signings have a risk element,it makes better sense to sign a player from the continent for half the reported amount with similar or better potential.
 

Dilane Bakwa is being linked with Forest this morning for £30m, we would do well to be in on that imo, he is quicker, more game ready, and has similar ceiling levels and doesn't have the English tax.

😂😂😂😂He’s 22, only ever played in the French league and has very average stats. Absolutely terrible shout.

But he is already a PL capable player . His potential exceeds that , but that will do for starters.
There is not a queue of talented players waiting to join Everton currently , so we settle for less or pay the price for this lad .

That is absolutely ridiculous. Surely you’re not comparing Dibling with Rooney, Giggs and Ronaldo. :lol:

Dibling carries a premium because he has shown he can play in the premier league and he is 19. He could potentially double or treble in value in the next 2 years. Just look at Cole Palmer who was also unproven. Players in Germany, Spain and France etc often struggle to adapt. Look at Haller or Pepe.

Obviously it won't happen due to players being bedded in but one can hope and it might happen in the next few weeks.

He is talking about the potential the lad has to reach that level ?
You seem to think he is not capable of that .
I don’t know because I have not seen him play enough to form a definitive judgement, but since I’m not a professional scout I’m happy to trust those who have and whose reputation rests on their judgements.
