It's funny watched a podcast with a Leicester fan last night talking about Dibling. He was basically eulogizing with praise and spoke about his physicality. At 18 he already looks big and strong and frankly mature beyond his years.

I don't know if it happens, and there's a world we might go back ro say Fofana. But of the right wingers we have been linked too, Dibling would be the one I would want most. He looks like he has the highest ceiling to me. I appreciate that doesn't mean pay anything for him, but all things equal he would be the one I would want.

Certain players just have it and you can see it even when they are raw. Rooney the standout but the likes of Ronaldo when united played sporting and afterwards about three united players went up to Ferguson saying we have to sign this kid.

I'm obviously a massive fan of Mcatee but this lads potential is way higher - love to get both ofc but Dibling just has that look of being truly a special talent. Making a comparison like but - Mcatee could end up being Arteta level compared to Dibling being Giggs level good

But , as we have seen , recruiting the ‘finished article ‘ is difficult for a mid table team with no European football to offer and a recent history of relegation struggles.
We either settle for players of a lower quality which will not improve us significantly, or take a risk like this , which is a calculated risk considering how highly he is rated by people who know the game.
One final point , having researched his performances last season , I would say he is already a capable player more than able to hold his place in our side.
No argument about his potential, just the deal, for the reported amount.Soton are asking finished article money. This English premium thing...

He may have potential but in his position we need the finished article. As you say he isn't close to that at the moment. If we are going to spend the reported amount of money Soton are asking best to look elsewhere.
We’re not in a position to sign the finished article, or at least not of the quality we want. We could easily spend £45m on someone bang average who has no capacity to improve.
