The same thought had occurred to me.If we sign Jack Grealish what happens to Niadye? They do the same job and play the same role.
The only way I could see it being plausible would be if there's no loan fee at all.We will probably cover £125k out of the reported £300k wages. No one will cover the whole wages which City insanely offered to the guy.

Yup and I think the max wages we can cover is around half of £300k per week. The only way I could see it being plausible would be if there's no loan fee at all.
If we cover his wages, that's going to be roughly the equivalent of paying a £10m loan fee (which is roughly what I thought we'd be paying) and £100k per week.
If City want his full wages paying and a significant loan fee, it's way too rich for us.
If we sign Jack Grealiqsh what happens to Niadye? They do the same job and play the same role.
He might have to. But that won't be his fault, it will be Man City's for not compromising on what contribution they want for his wages.Let him sit on the bench then. He's hardly switching over to Fray Bentos pies with a salary drop. He's already at the wont have to do a days work the rest of his life stage. Isnt it now about wanting to be on the pitch for the next few years in the time he has left at the top. And pushing for next years world cup. Isnt it? Gota be surely.
Can't get my head around this either tbh. Having a squad and options is great but I'd rather have them elsewhere before rotating Ndiaye! The same thought had occurred to me.
Despite what KDH has said about his best role being as a number 8, our current system has a hybrid 8/10 which most people seem to think will be where he's playing.
That being the case, Grealish plays from the left and Dibling plays from the right - where does that leave Ndiaye?
Fair enough, you need more than 3 attacking midfielders of note and Ndiaye would still get loads of minutes but it feels a little bit like Ndiaye would become a squad player rather than our best attacking player - that might be progress, but feels a little harsh on him.

Man City have to stump up his current wages, because he has a contract with them. Unless anyone wants to buy him and commit to a new contract, they have to loan him on the same terms as Man City. So either the club loaning the player pay all the wages or Man City make a contribution to them.Nobody is going to stump up his current wages. So it will be his decision if he wants more money or more football.
Just hope if he comes this doesn't turn out to be another Deli Alli a player we cant get much out of for a lot of money

I'm not quite sure why you're framing this as him being greedy or lazy.
When he plays central in a free role, that's definitely his best position. It would be an exciting prospect, having Ndiaye and Grealish in the same team. Two very skillful intelligent players like that could strike up a deadly combo, and do some real damage. Beto and Barry would benefit for sure.Grealish is better central tbh.
