It will be larger percentage of salary for less of a loan fee. Either way they get the money they want if we do the deal early. The longer we leave it the stronger position we are in as they want his wages off the books. Question is, can we afford to wait in the hope no one else decides they want him? Just get it done and give the dressing room a lift, it obviously needs one.

For any deal to be done it is going to take compromise on all sides, I can’t see any club who are realistically going to take him paying out £300k per week. City are going to have to stump up some of his wages as it is to their benefit to have him playing for someone else. They aren’t going to use him and I can’t see them relishing paying him that amount of money to sit on his hands. If we want him for a year or two we have to pay him his worth but I also think that if he wants regular playing time and a chance to get himself back on track he has to except he isn’t good value at that money and renegotiate his wage.

Took us too the end of the window to ask the big financial questions.

Our recruitment team is completely out of there depth.
We will have known what City will accept for a good while.
If as reported the lad is keen on coming here it's now a case of negotiating down what City want.
This looks like it's in it's final stages.

He’s got some nerve asking 300k a week based on his last 12 mths. If he’s serious about his career he should be dropping that figure drastically.

Last chance at a World Cup

No doubting his quality, and I'd be buzzing with the signing, but I can't shake the feeling it would stifle Ndiaye a lot - even if JG was played in the 10
