I'd rather the lad do very well for us and stays for a very long time. Who knows he could be strutting his stuff in Europe in the next year or two opening a pathway to the England squad.
History shows some players come here and actually love being part of the club.
At 19 yrs old he could very well be another.

If that daft clause is put in and we see a monetary value of selling the player in 2 to 3 years , put a buy out clause in the the players contract of £100 mil like the Spanish do to mitigate the sell on fee.

Of course I'd rather it was removed like.

We wouldn’t need to put a buy out clause in, we could just refuse any bids below our valuation if that’s what we wanted to do, a buy out clause wouldn’t make any difference.

The sell on clause is a massive thing, of course we all want him to be amazing, stay forever, win a million trophies etc, but that’s not often how it works. The reality is if he’s really good for us he’s likely to be off in a couple of years, that’s just how the world works and there’s no point in us pretending it doesn’t.
