Yeah I get the impression that this is pretty close to being finalised, if it isn’t already- you don’t have a player doing light jogging to avoid injury if you’re fighting tooth and nail to keep him. If they thought it was even going to drag on they’d be preparing him for their game on Saturday.

Like you say, might just be stalling for a bit to get ducks in a row for his replacement before it’s out there they have a big fee in their pocket.

Maybe also keep an eye out for a Chermiti or Armstrong loan chucked in, sort of thing where they can show off a shiny new player to the fans while actually being a win for both parties.

Armstrong would be good for them and for the player.
He isnt going to get a lot of games here if we get another two midfielders in.
But he is already to good not to be getting games for someone
Wouldn't sell him to anyone loan would be fine.
I think Armstrong has everything to be a good Premier league player.

But the question is, who is the deal with? Some reports that other clubs may be interested. I’m afraid this deal for me seems very much like the madness type of deal we saw under Moshiri in the early years. Different profile of player, but that much for a 19 yr old who’s had a few games in the top flight is very very risky.
